Today we spent the morning playing golf. Thankfully, my predictions were right and I did beat him by more than 10 strokes (phew) - otherwise, I'd have to hear about it for the next few days! It was absolutely GORGEOUS weather down here... 75 and sunny, breezy this morning, enough that I needed a fleece to start off the front 9. We golfed in Kissimmee, which is about a half hour from Orlando. It was a nice course, and a lot more affordable than some of the high-priced country clubs around here. We even got a few free golf balls. Which actually came in handy because we happened to lose a few...
Ok, so Anthony happened to lose a few. Not just a few, but many. Some in the water hazards, some in the palm trees, bushes, and other things lining the course. My favorite shot of his was one that went up a palm tree, came back down, and wound up about 10 feet in front of where he started. But all in all we had a lot of fun. And that's more important than our (pretty sad) final scores. :)
We went to dinner at an on-site restaurant called Nick Faldo's Grill. I had pork chops, and Anthony had the mixed grill. We capped it off with the special "Faldo's Foster" which was a yummy bananas foster dessert. Wow. We also happened to catch bits and pieces of a conversation some guy at the bar sitting near us was having with some other random tourists, and thankfully he broadcasted that Philly was better than New York. Otherwise we would've had to put him in his place.
Well, to get in gear for Spring Training later this week, we're off to watch a baseball movie on DVD. We heard it might snow at home, so good luck to everyone at home and I have to say, we don't miss the cold weather AT ALL!
